A Deadly Year on Mountain View

There have been at least six deaths so far this year on Mountain View Corridor. All of these tragic incidents involved individuals travelling in vehicles, which highlights the extreme risk more vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists face when trying to navigate across this highway.

Thank you for trying to do something about this issue. Five years ago I spoke with one of the developers about getting a Pedestrian Bridge over MVV as they were starting to build West Daybreak. They blew me off telling me that the Ped crossing at Lake and Mountain View was all that was needed. I also contacted UDOT who basically told me the same thing. Fast forward five years and two developers later. As soon as Miller started building the Ballpark, I emailed them and CCMC stating my concerns. All they said was thank you very much and they would contact me if they wanted my input. That was a year ago and no response. I let them have it on the recent survey Miller put out. This is a pretty simple safety issue and they are all ignoring. THANK YOU FOR BEING THE ONES TO FINALLY TRY TO GET THEIR ATTENTION TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION!!
